Major components of an enterprise wide reporting system

IntelliVIEW Suite is built around three major components

IntelliVIEW Designer
This part is the interactive tool used to design, deploy and distribute reports. It allows for the connection to and exploration of your data sources, building queries for data extraction, designing of reports, and publishing of reports.

System Requirements

• Microsoft Windows 2000, ME, XP, Windows NT 4.0
• 128 MB RAM
• 20mb hard disk space for the executable program, help files and samples

Synaptris SDK
This component is the component that sits between the designer and web application. It accepts requests from the Report Analyzer to process a report and then publishes the report sent back by the IntelliVIEW Designer. The integration of Java, and Microsoft .NET allows for the deployment of reports to your web or application server which in turn can be viewed by the IntelliVIEW Reporter.

System Requirements

• Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, Windows NT 4.0, or higher.
• Runs on UNIX, Solaris, Linux as well.
• 28 MB RAM
• Pentium III or higher processor required

IntelliVIEW Report Analyzer
This piece allows for your end user community to view, analyze, and manipulate reports with real-time data. Your also have the functionality to do drill down analysis, create charts, print, and export to a variety of formats. This piece of the suite is freely distributed with no licenses and no limit to the number of clients that can use it.

System Requirements

• Microsoft Windows 2000, ME, XP, Windows NT 4.0
• 128 MB RAM recommended
• 10 MB hard disk space for the executable program, help files and samples

Reporting Layer
Along with the IntelliVIEW Suite is a Reporter Framework that sits on top of a RDBMS and allows for the creation of the repository that stores the reports for retrieval and handles all aspects of security and access controls to those reports.
