Synaptris announces free Operational BI solution with its launch of IntelliVIEW for IBM DB2 Express-C.

San Jose, CA – October 16, 2006 – Synaptris today announced that it will offer a version of its operational BI offering, IntelliVIEW as a freely licensed version for IBM DB2 Express-C.

IntelliVIEW for DB2 Express-C has been specifically designed to support IBM’s DB2 community initiative and operates seamlessly with DB2 Express-C. It provides users with user friendly reporting and advanced analytics and is freely available to the user community. This new release is expected to fulfill a long-felt need for a free, high-quality operational BI solution in the free database market. 

IntelliVIEW enables report designers and end-users alike to create reports and analyze data without the need for data preparation. With its unique in-memory processing architecture, IntelliVIEW enables reporting and operational business intelligence directly from the database and bypasses the costly and time-consuming ETL process. Using its proprietary technology, IntelliVIEW enables powerful self-serve analytics via the easy-to-use and intuitive Report Analyzer. The Analyzer features a familiar spreadsheet-like environment that enables drag-and-drop report creation and point-and-click data analysis capabilities.

IntelliVIEW for DB2 Express-C will be freely licensed for offline report distribution and analysis. The portal and SDK version of the product which enable online, real time reporting and analysis will require the purchase of either the IntelliVIEW portal or the SDK (Server Deployment Kit).
