Elmia is one of Scandinavia's foremost exhibition centers organizing, coordinating, managing and controlling high-end trade fairs.

Challenge

At Elmia, eight secretaries used to spend every Monday morning organizing, compiling and evaluating the reports that would be required for the week. Subsequently, they prepared a MIS report for top management that listed all the details of the fairs at hand along with their booking status.

Also, customized labels, badges, customer lists, etc., for each project had to be designed and printed. Therefore, collation and presentation of data was a challenge in terms of cost, time and accuracy.

Solution

With IntelliPRINT Reporting ’s time-saving Format Designer, secretaries could generate and complete their MIS and detailed fair project reports within a matter of minutes. Sophisticated reports based on Notes data could be designed quickly, saved and then accessed with a Notes client by the staff.

Also, by using IntelliPRINT Reporting resources that were out of stock were easily identified and an order was automatically placed with the vendor. Besides reports and purchase orders, Elmia personnel could easily preview and print labels and badges using IntelliPRINT Reporting. Reports and documents could be exported to popular formats like TIF, Excel and PDF and emailed to customers for approval.
